Supporting Dundee Charities

The story so far

Teenage Cancer Trust

The third annual Evening of Sheer Indulgence raised over £6,500 for Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT), to be spent at Ninewells Hospital.

TCT don't believe that teenagers have to stop being teenagers just because they are cancer patients.

The aim of our TCT project is to provide all of the elements that today's teenagers need - laptops, iPods, Nintento DS, etc.

As well as keeping teenagers in touch with friends and family, these can also help recovery through providing much needed stimulus.

The Brae

The Brae - Dundee Riding Ability Centre - benefitted from £3,500 of funds in 2008.

Through the commitment of volunteers, the Brae enables people with disabilities to benefit their health and wellbeing and to achieve goals.

The Brae relies on the input and support of volunteers- not just those who help with riding but also fundraisers, or simply those who help with a bit of DIY.

Our funds helped cover the costs of three horses for a whole year.

As importantly, more people are now aware of the invaluable work carried out at The Brae.

Fairy Box

The Fairy Box charity exists to help ill children through their time in hospital.

At the heart of the charity's work is the Fairy Box itself, a themed gift box which sits on the children’s wards and which is filled with small gifts of books, toys, and games.

This simple gift can help children when going through difficult treatments and so help them on the road to recovery.

The Fairy Box was our first beneficiary of around £2,000 to help with activities in Ninewells Hospital.

The charity is always looking for donations of new toys, books, CDs, DVDs, etc for children age 2 to 12.
